Description
Launched in 1965 to replace the outgoing Series 4 the Series 5 featured an updated 5 bearing 1,725cc engine and the addition of twin carburettors and some styling tweaks for the Alpines final 3 years of production.
This example, first registered June 1967 and finished in its original polar white with contrasting black interior and factory fitted hardtop. Sold with a wonderful history file with traceable history back to 1967. Showing no former keepers on a DVLA check although DVLA history only supplies information back to the mid eighties.
Supporting documents with the car shows 4 owners from new, the first from 1967 till 1968 then 1968 till 1969 and 1969 till 1972 before being bought by the current owner on the 10th of February 1972.
Sold with original brown log book showing earlier ownership, original Routes group service book with service history up to 32,000 miles in 1971 before moving to hand written diary from 1972 detailing work carried out in great detail. Also sold with receipts for other maintenance and Series 5 owners handbook.
