Description
Launched in 1984 the VolumeX too the standard Beta in coupe or hatchback form and added a supercharger to its 2 litre twin cam engine. Propelling the VX to 60 in 8.7 seconds and a 124mph top speed. Other upgrades include a heavy duty clutch, new gear ratios, upgraded suspension to fully independent with Mcpherson struts. Brakes are given servo assistance.
This particularly example, a UK supplied car first registered in September 1985. Owned by the current owner since 2011. Fully restored under his ownership including a full engine overhaul by famed Lancia specialist Guy croft with mechanical overhaul costing nearly £11,000. Work included a strip, renew and rebuild of the supercharger unit and engine rebuild including upgraded cam shaft, forged pistons, webber 40 DCOE carburettor with Cosworth spacer unit and electronic ignition along with many other upgrades. Also fitted with a full custom stainless steel exhaust system including manifold by OJZ systems. Sold with extensive history file of other maintenance work carried out, original Lancia brochures and original book pack including stamped service book.
