1988 saw the creation of Jaguar Sport a joint venture between Jaguar cars and Tom Walkinshaw Racing a specialist devision designed to use TWR's experience building Jaguar race cars for the likes of Le Mans and the world sports car championship to produce sporting jaguar road cars including the infamous XJ220 supercar.
The XJRS was one of the first products launched by Jaguar sport with the first 100 cars being "Le Mans celebrations" fitted with bespoke TWR bodykit, custom suspension set up, XJRS specific alloy wheels, upgraded Connolly leather interior as well as door sill plaque with unique number for the car build.
This particular example, car 39 of 100 first registered September 1988 by Doves Jaguar of Surrey has been owned by the current keeper since 2017 and recently removed from storage. Showing just 3 previous keepers and 50,000 miles!
Sold with extensive history file including original XJRS book wallet with user manuals and service book with service stamps up to 45,000 miles. Also included is original jaguar paint touch in pens, 3 sets of keys, original jaguar owner drivers card, original negatives of the press photographs, jaguar sport folder including history on TWR and other information on the launch of the XJRS as well as receipts for maintenance work.
Also sold with original Silk Cut jacket supplied to the original owner on delivery of the car.
