Imported to the UK and registered with the DVLA in 2021 this South African group one racing XR6 is the ideal classic competition car.
Genuine XR6 base vehicle with the following upgrades.
The body has a fully welded multipoint roll cage, floor strengtheners, XR8 Spoiler, modified front strut towers for caster and camber, cross member re drilled for camber adjustment, poly bushed all round and external battery isolated.
Mechanically the car has an engine starting out as the factory 3 litre Essex V6 then built by FP motor engineering. Bored out to 3.4 litres, block and heads skimmed, larger ports with oversized valves, New cam bushes with RN90 cam shaft, Compression re worked to 10.5 as well as lightened fly wheel with race clutch, oil cooler, catch canisters, twin Webber carburettors with trumpets, upgraded leads and plugs, oversized radiator and equal length manifolds all working to produce just over 200bhp and mated to a 5 speed Type 9 gearbox with Borg Warner locked rear differential.
Sold with UK registration, dating letter, receipts for engine work, racing log book and pictures from south African competitions.
