Owned by the current owner since 1998. Purchased as a standard car in Australia where the car is believed to have been supplied to from new. Custom built by the current owner using the cars original 1928 Chassis and steel body. A factory roadster built into its current award winning form.
Imported back to the UK when the vendor emigrated back in 2015 and registered with the DVLA in April 2016 showing no former keepers. Although exempt the car has been subject to an MOT every year while in the UK. Current Mot till March 2023.
Starting life as a factory 1928 Model A roadster the modifications are extensive. The original factory chassis has been stepped, boxed and "fish plated" and reinforced with additional cross members. A Chevrolet 350 V8 has been fitted and upgraded with a wide range cam shaft, high rise manifold and 600 Holley carburettor mated to a turbo 350 automatic gearbox and custom exhaust system.
The rear axle from a Chrysler Centura with a 3:25 to 1 ratio, fitted with 4 bar rear suspension with Alden coil overs. The front wheels benefit from Stainless steel disc brakes as well as Alden coil overs all hidden behind 15 inch wheels with whitewall tyres (5" wide wheels to the front and 7" wide to the rear)
The interior features a tartan theme as a nod to the owners Scottish heritage, custom seats finished in black Stewart tartan, the dash features Smiths gauges set into a 1932 dashboard.
Finished to a spectacular standards with stunning attention to detail. Sold with history file including photos of the restoration, letters confirming the purchase back in 1998 in Victoria, Australia, import documents and previous MOT certificates along with receipts and other documents.
