Believed to be 1 of only 6 B10 V8S models left on UK roads. The 'S' model was launched in 2002 at the end of the E39 5 series production run. Limited to 145 units worldwide and 1 of only 42 available in Right Hand Drive.
Using the BMW V8 from the B10 which already featured a recast block increasing capacity from 4.4 litres to 4.8 for the Alpina models as well as Alpina specification pistons and camshaft. The 'S' then had additional improvements such as new piston rings, air intake and crankshaft to take the power output to 375BHP. This engine was later used in the Alpina designed and built BMW Z8 supercar.
Upgrades on the 'S' model also including upgraded stiffer suspension, 19inch staggered alloy wheels, larger Brembo brakes as well as tweaked Alpina bodykit and interior.
This example, car number 76 was sold new by Synter BMW Alpina of Nottingham and first registered August 2002 and shows just 3 former keepers, 145,000 miles and MOT till November 2023.
Owned by the current owner since 2016 and kept in a fastidious collection. Sold with 2 keys plus valet key and plastic key as well as good sized history file including original service book with 11 service stamps up to 138,000 miles as well as receipts for maintenance and servicing including invoice for repair to jacking point at a cost of over £700 following an advisory on the current MOT test.
